22. Vrh kmetijskih in živilskih podjetij

 


Na 22. Vrhu kmetijskih in živilskih podjetij smo preverili konkurenčnost in produktivnost v kmetijskih in živilskih podjetjih ter govorili o politikah na področju proizvodnje hrane in prehrane ter o realnih izzivih, s katerimi se srečujemo.

 

Posebno pozornost smo namenili kulturi zagotavljanja varnosti živil, ki postaja osrednje vodilo v upravljanju podjetij in pametni proizvodnji hrane.

Frank Yiannas, FDA The Future of a Safer, Smarter, & More Sustainable Food System

The theme of World Food Safety Day 2023 is “Food Standards Save Lives,” with a recognition that governments, producers, processors and retailers all play a part in protecting consumers in all nations from unsafe foods. Food safety is indeed everyone’s business, no matter who you are or what you do. Mr. Yiannas, a renown food safety leader at Disney, Walmart and, most recently, at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, has long championed the importance of collaboration across the boundaries between industry and government, and across the borders between nations, to create a future in which consumers everywhere can have confidence in the safety and sustainability of their food supply. The future is now and that collaboration must evolve to a new level for the 21st Century, employing smarter tools and approaches that include enhanced food traceability and data modernization. The future is now and will bring a global food system that is so transparent and data-informed that all the information we need about a food or how it is being produced, anywhere in the world, will be available to us at the speed of thought. The future is now and we will create a safer, smarter and more sustainable food system because we are stronger when we work together.
